Media Team |
|
|
Though best described as a "thankless job," there is no more important
place of service in Worship & Arts. Literally everything we present is
supported by an army of technicians. Sound technicians benefit from having an
"ear" for music and mixing, but Media ministry makes involvement in Worship
& Arts a real opportunity for a host of non-musicians.
|
Serving on a weekly rotational schedule, those with aptitude for video,
computer, sound and/or electronics provide essential support for our weekly
celebrations. Personnel are trained "on the job" with current team members.

Service Stage Assistant |
|
|
In addition to the work of our Media Team, there are a variety of tasks to
be completed before every corporate worship gathering. Several workers serve
on this team so that everyone can serve on a weekly rotational schedule. The
assistant on assignment meets with the worship leader prior to worship
rehearsal on Sunday mornings to determine needs and instructions. Typical
duties include moving of chairs, music stands or instruments and ensuring
proper stage set-ups for music
|
and drama, clearing debris from the stage area, checking a/c controls,
carrying messages to the Media Team and communicating special sound and
lighting set-ups, setting of props for the sermon, and proper placement of
pulpit furniture. The assistant is also available during worship rehearsal to
assist with determining volume levels and sound connections on stage, and
serves as a resource person for special guest artists and programs.

Web Team |
|
|
Our dedicated team of volunteers is on loan to various ministries
throughout the church. Their job is to keep the web pages for their assigned
area fresh with vibrant new content and pictures. Good editorial skills and
an eye for
|
content are more important than web design skills. If you have good
general computer skills and want to get involved, contact our Church
Office. Training is provided.

Media Lab |
|
|
In addition to the full audio/video installation in our worship center, we
have a complete Media Lab. With this lab, we have the capability to created
and edit all of our own audio and video projects. Many of these projects find
their way into our worship
|
services as commercials for events and support for worship and Pastor's
sermons. The lab is equipped with a MAC, video editing software, and audio
mixer, decks and processors. Training is available for those who would like
to learn this specialized production art.

Wednesday Support Team |
|
|
The personal schedules of our weekend sound technicians often do not allow
them to assist with set-up and monitoring of our 8:00 p.m. Wednesday
rehearsals, although this session is critical to our weekly preparation.
Set-up is
|
usually minimal for these weekly sessions, but it helps to have personnel
at the sound board to make minor adjustments as needed. Technicians serve on
a weekly rotation and as needed.

|
Duplication Team |
|
|
Recordings of weekly sermons and series are made available to our guests
through the Resource Center. This weekly duty includes conversion of CD
recordings to cassette (when
|
needed), creating and printing labels from templates, duplicating the
recordings, and packaging them for distribution.
