Our Story
A Historical Perspective E-mail

In 1934, a small group of believers came together on Buchanan Street in Memphis. In 1937, they moved to Jackson Avenue, and Calvary Church was officially organized as a congregation. This growing group moved to a new location on Stage Road in 1973. After outgrowing those facilities in 2001, Calvary Church moved to its current home on Houston Levee Road in Cordova - a community thriving with opportunity and growth. We have big dreams for this 27-acre site, and we hope many in our community will come to know Calvary Church as "a place to belong".
