Both James and Lucille Towles were born and raised in Fayette County. They obtained early education in the Fayette County School system. James married Lucille Anthony of Collierville, Tn in 1960 and migrated to Queens, New York. He is the father of five adult children nine grandchildren and four great-grand children.
In 1984-1985, Pastor Towles took one unit of CPE at the A. Holley Patterson Home for the Aged and Infirmed. He received two years of Ministry training from New York Theological Seminary in 1993-1995. He attended the Blanton Peale Institute of Pastoral Counseling in 1995-1997. He was a volunteer Chaplain at Queens Hospital Center for ten years, Queens, NY. Pastor Towles also worked in the Red Hook Community with the Fire Department, Police Department, and Community Court, South Brooklyn Health Clinic giving spiritual leadership and direction for as needed for fifteen years. Lucille received her Bachelors' degree in Biblical Studies in 1986 from the Logos Christian College and her Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY on May 13th, 2005. She worked for New York State Department of Mental Retardation and Developmentally Disabilities for thirty years. She also worked five years as a Professional Chaplain for a Catholic Medical Center in Queens, NY.
James was the Pastors of the Red Hook Gospel Tabernacle for eighteen years. (Which is in an urban community of Brooklyn, New York) Working together side by side with his wife, Lucille serving God's people.
In May of 2006, Pastor James Towles and his wife migrated back to Fayette County to continue serving the Lord by participating in the harvesting of souls for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
