"LET GOD BE GOD"
The Life Of Joseph #2
Genesis 37-50

1.     If we are going to dream, we must let God be God of our dreams.
One thing this involves, is the realization: That everything we have and everything we are - is a gift from God.

      2.  Let God be God, when when circumstances seem to contradict your dreams.
"...Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, and after a while his master's wife took
notice of Joseph and said, "Come to bed with me!" But he refused. "With me in charge,"
he told her, "my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything
he owns he has entrusted to my care. No one is greater in this house than I am. My
master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then
could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?"   Genesis 37:7-9
"... sold as a slave. They bruised his feet with shackles, his neck was put in irons,
till what he foretold came to pass,..."   Psalm 105:17-19
     - The grace of God, is greater than the grief of life!
     - Depending on you, you can either grow from your difficult
experiences or you can be defeated by them.
"Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard
it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it."  "I cannot do it," Joseph
replied to Pharaoh, "but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires."  Genesis 41:15-16
     - God loves you enough to never leave you as you are.

3.      Let God be God in the successes of life.
In serving Egypt, Joseph was serving God!  So we realize that to those  who will render God the glory, God then uses them to accomplish great and wonderful things.

     4.  Let God be God over the failure of others who have frustrated our dreams.

     5.  Let God be God
of the future.
